If the international student is interested and accepting of the ways in America most American students will become interested in the international student’s country as well. The Second Amendment says that a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. History has shown that it is necessary to keep this Amendment. There are now places where this right is infringed upon. They are called â€Å"gun-free zones.† In these gun-free zones, people’s safety is constantly compromised, because shooters know that they can come to these places and attack, without fear of their own lives. There is simply no one to resist the shooters. This has been seen in schools across America. The existence of gun-free zones makes these facilities easy targets for those wanting to commit violent crimes; therefore, people should never be stripped of their right to bear arms, regardless of the place. It s noteworthy that every mass shooting in the U.S. since 1977, with the exception of the 2011 Tucson shooting that killed six people and severely injured Rep. Gabby Giffords, has happened in a gun-free zone, according to John Lott, Jr., former chief economist for the U.S. Sentencing Commission (Gun-Free Zones). Everyone without a criminal record has the right to bear arms, as well as to carry concealed weapons. People should be able to bear arms anywhere, whether it is in an elementary school, a restaurant, or the mall. What Sets Me Apart From Other Applicants

The muddy college application process has made it difficult for even successful applicants, who have gained admissions, to figure out the reason they were accepted. We believe each applicant has something to offer, and we want to celebrate that. So, we dug through our database to find out whateach applicants achievements, quirks, and differences are. People often asked about that in interviews, since I am from the East Coast. The fact that I took the initiative to apply to several internships during the winter of my junior year seemed to resound well with admissions officers. Although yes, Stanford is prestigious, I think the fact that I made a concerted effort to seek out what I was interested in was the more important part. Like the death of a loved one, separation from a loved one, loss of a familiar way of being, loss of self esteem, or failure in achieving certain goals. It is said to be a psychopathic disorder, which is not uncommon, and is very serious when not dealt with as soon as possible. I think that the best solution for the problem is not to solve the reason why adolescent commit suicide but to increase the awareness of the teenagers. Get to them before they fall victim to suicide. So let us proceed in dealing with the vast teen suicide problem by first recognizing their symptoms for suicide, then talk about it with them, and finally by providing treatment for them. Public Restrooms in France- Les Toilettes Publiques When you travel to France, one thing is certain- youll have to use the restroom. Politely asking where the toilets are is a delicate thing in French. Now that youve mastered the toilet-related vocabulary and the strange double flush tank, you are ready for your next challenge: using (and surviving) Les toilettes publiques! In a small (or huge) town, using les W.C  of a restaurant or a cafà © should not be a problem. Just ask oà ¹ sont les toilettes sil vous plaà ®t, and you should be fine. But unless you are a patron, in many very touristy areas, youll have to use the public restrooms. It may be worth buying un cafà ©, even if you dont drink it, so you can use the cafà ©s bathroom. Some very old fashioned public restrooms or very old fashioned restaurants will have what we used to call une dame pipi (literally a pee lady ... a more PC term is agent dentretien- maintenance officer). This person cleans and takes care of the place. Its customary to leave them a tip- 50 centimes or one Euro. Les Urinoirs (urinals) are still very common and not so discreet in France. Its not uncommon in a public restroom to have a urinal section facing the closed toilets so that when you enter/exit the restroom you will pass in front of urinating men ...  how nice. More modern public restrooms will be some sort of a cabin (called une sanisette) which opens up when you insert a coin (they are free in Paris since 2006 ... and more or less  dirty ... and always lacking toilet paper, so plan on bringing tissues). The instructions are pretty clear, and there are usually drawings. However, a  Skype student of mine had an interesting story with one of these. He had to pay one Euro to get in. So, after he did his business, as he left and the door opened, he let his spouse in. And she got ... a free shower! Some of these cabins get fully rinsed after each use, from top to bottom. So ... pay the extra one Euro. And yes, it is still very true, many public restrooms (rarely in cities, but frequently highway restrooms) are what we call des toilettes la turque- no seat but a hole. I hate these, as Im pretty sure every other woman does. Basically, there is a hole, and two rectangles to place your feet, supposedly out of the pee route. Face the door if you want to limit the damage. No, French women dont have a secret about using these. We are all created equal when it comes to using these awful devices.   Last thing ... the French are not really shy when it comes to peeing al fresco- outside! If you drive around France, you may sometimes see a car stopped on the side of the road, with a guy facing the fields and relieving himself. Well, at least he is not facing the road. Nothing shocking here for the French, its only human nature!

In pursuance with numerical passion, it became the basis for my course selection Babes-Bolyai University, an excellent university in Cluj-Napoca. I took a program involving the combination of mathematics analysis and computer programming, Mathematics and Computer Science course, where I pored over a variety of concepts: Numerical analysis, Differential equations and Dynamic systems, Affine geometry, and Numerical solving of equations, Object oriented programming, Applications for mobile, Analysis and administration of complex computers systems, and Evolved programming methods. It may sound intimidating for others, but in my case, it had been like enjoying a favorite pastime. To top it all, I could get to share my enthusiasm with younger minds; I volunteered as tutor to students from grade 5-12. Giving my students a part of my analytical fixations with numbers is indeed a pleasurable episode for all of us. As much as I love my country, it seems that I am destin ed to go on a global scale. As I approached my fourth year in university, I was able to visit my relatives in Portland, Oregon for the summer. Unbeknown to me, I would meet the guy for me, Dan, who had been based in Seattle, Washington. We got on well together, as we both share an abundant love for life and adventure. Even though I went back to finish my course, we maintained constant contact. However, our love for each other had been adamant, and Dan proposed when he came to see me during my winter break--we got hitched summer that year. Forced to halt my studies in Romania, I relocated to follow my husband in Seattle, Washington. My need for mathematical challenges hunted me, and after thorough search for an outstanding university, I know what I am meant to do. I have to apply for degree on Applied Computational Mathematical Sciences in your top-rate institution, University of Washington. Only you have the competency to nurture my creative talent with numbers. Career Goals A few m onths after my marriage, I got pregnant, delaying my academic aspirations for a while, but was able to proceed years after. It is true that, there are some decisions that will work, but other might not. Just as like, there will be projects that will pay, while others will not. However, every decision and every project will provide lessons don how the world is changing, and how the organization compares with its competitors. This means that, facing the reality implies, dealing with mistakes and failures, especially our own failures in the organization. For instance, in 1990s, Bill Gates made a big decision about the internet, as he decided that, the net was not going to be such important, but later changed his decision after those who advised him contradicted the decision. How We Should Help Individuals Keep Their Bearings It is true that, not everything is subject to change, if the leader is obligated to help individuals face the reality, and mobilize them to make changes, Which values and operations are so central to our core that if we lose them, we lose ourselves? (William, 1999). The leaders at the highest level are supposed to lead conversations about what is important and what is not. For instance, it was very difficult for Lew Platt, who was the Hewlett-Packed CEO, to lead conversation about breaking up of his company, and about leaving the HP name, together with computer business other than with the test-and business of measurement, where they started. How Leaders Do Listen Most leaders in the past used do die with their mouth open, this teaches us that, leaders have to know how they listen, but listening is more subtle than how most individuals think. But first, and just as important, leaders must want to listen. (William, 1999). Good listening is engineered by curiosity along with empathy. Conclusion It is now obvious that, future leaders have no alternative other than becoming good change mangers. You are legally required to assess the risks in your workplace so that you put in place a plan to control the risks. Identify the hazards Decide who might be harmed and how Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions Record your findings and implement them Review your assessment and update if necessaryA risk that we had in the past was that we were using goggles to protect your eyes from chemical splashes which could seriously burn and cause permanent damage. I then reviewed the risk assessment and conducted a new one for the use of chemicals as I found there was more risks involved as chemical could also splash onto the skin causing burns also so I identified the hazards and put in control measures which was to use face visors and neck and chin guards as well as the use of chemical suits, gloves and Wellingtons to prevent burns to the body which eliminated the risks.I have identified and evaluated control measures that have been put in place within our organisat ion which was to wear a face visor at all times and not goggles when using corrosive chemicals and also a chin and neck guard so it eliminates any risk of the chemical splashing any part of the body which could cause severe burns.As a manager we have recently had one guy working for us who was fully trained within this safe working practice within working safely with chemicals and the wearing of hard hat and face visor but due to a behavioural issue he decided not to follow this practice and wore in incorrectly which resulted in temporary chemical burns to his eyes. A accident investigation was carried out and he received a warning for this due to not following company safe working practices.He also received further training and all other service staff were briefed on the accident that occurred and were re trained within working safely with chemicals. With regards to responsibilities for health and safety working practices to my team I communicate this at our S. A. T meetings were w e have four members of our team that spend 1 full day each month reviewing health and safety working practices and updating were needed and then I communicate with the rest of the team on a monthly basis their responsibilities within their role for the task that they are carrying out.I also have a safety marshal on a daily basis with whom I liase with and brief so he can delegate health and safety working practices for our high risk tasks which is lock off, working at height, chemicals, confined space and roof work. I lead a team of 4 supervisors and 36 operatives and in my role I manage day to day industrial cleaning within the plant, and manage Health & Safety, Personnel issues, Quality Standards. Staff development occurs in a social context and emphasizes teamwork, built on a foundation of collaboration. Staff development is a process that demonstrates the commonness of purpose of all staff and the crucial nature of individual knowledge and skills to perform assigned duties in relation to the achievement of these larger goals.Benefits in doing these for the company would be to pass on my knowledge within management, Health and Safety and food hygiene to supervisors and service staff and also further training for them and also to benefit the client as this gives me a broader understanding within food hygiene within the food industry. I have developed a business case which is to attend a advanced food hygiene course with HSF training for the cost of ? 425 plus VAT IN September 2013 so I can achieve this qualification Advantages of self development are :Train all staff within Level 1 of Food Hygiene Safety. Week taken from work to do course so loss of management on site which could cause a number of issues on site without management cover. My personal development will be reviewed and updated through my appraisal with carl jones account manager for hygiene group and we have also set targets that all the above will be completed by October 2013 with regular reviews set out.Myself and Carl Jones will discuss and agree work objectives and they will be measured by the support of Alan Ridley Hygiene Specialist The relationship between health & safe working practices and organisational objectives within our business are good as our objectives are to give all our staff all the correct training and involving them in c hange within the business that is closely linked to our safe working practices as all staff are trained to these safe working practices which helps us reach our objectives.Our other health and safety objectives are closely monitored and are set by our client within our KPI’S Which are accidents, near misses, hipo’s and high risks activites were we need to improve year on year and these all involve our health and safety working practices on site, again training is need with staff in order to achieve these objectives. A risk assessment is simply a careful examination of what, in your work, could cause harm to people, so that you can weigh up whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm.Workers and others have a right to be protected from harm caused by a failure to take reasonable control measures. Accidents and ill health can ruin lives and affect your business too if output is lost, machinery is damaged, insurance costs increase or you ha ve to go to court. You are legally required to assess the risks in your workplace so that you put in place a plan to control the risks. Identify the hazards Decide who might be harmed and how Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions Record your findings and implement them Review your assessment and update if necessaryA risk that we had in the past was that we were using goggles to protect your eyes from chemical splashes which could seriously burn and cause permanent damage. I then reviewed the risk assessment and conducted a new one for the use of chemicals as I found there was more risks involved as chemical could also splash onto the skin causing burns also so I identified the hazards and put in control measures which was to use face visors and neck and chin guards as well as the use of chemical suits, gloves and Wellingtons to prevent burns to the body which eliminated the risks.I have identified and evaluated control measures that have been put in place within our organisat ion which was to wear a face visor at all times and not goggles when using corrosive chemicals and also a chin and neck guard so it eliminates any risk of the chemical splashing any part of the body which could cause severe burns.As a manager we have recently had one guy working for us who was fully trained within this safe working practice within working safely with chemicals and the wearing of hard hat and face visor but due to a behavioural issue he decided not to follow this practice and wore in incorrectly which resulted in temporary chemical burns to his eyes. A accident investigation was carried out and he received a warning for this due to not following company safe working practices.He also received further training and all other service staff were briefed on the accident that occurred and were re trained within working safely with chemicals. With regards to responsibilities for health and safety working practices to my team I communicate this at our S. A. T meetings were w e have four members of our team that spend 1 full day each month reviewing health and safety working practices and updating were needed and then I communicate with the rest of the team on a monthly basis their responsibilities within their role for the task that they are carrying out.I also have a safety marshal on a daily basis with whom I liase with and brief so he can delegate health and safety working practices for our high risk tasks which is lock off, working at height, chemicals, confined space and roof work. Relevant records that are maintained to demonstrate that healthy and safe working practices are met are our sign off sheets were we have a working procedure with regards to what we are cleaning and how to clean and on this procedure and a health and safety practice on the procedure.We then have staff trained to this procedure and signed to say they have full knowledge of how to clean it and to follow the health and safety practicce and once complete they sign off our sig n off sheet to say they have followed the correct procedures after commencement of cleaning of each clean that they do and this is cross referenced against quality and training
